Arena di Verona, “the most Italian place on earth”
In the definition used today to present the Arena di Verona, deliberately expressed in the
world’s most widespread language, there is the synthesis of what this magnificent
amphitheatre embodies and bears witness to in the eyes of the beholder.
Two thousand years and a presence that astounds
The Arena of Verona has hosted fierce battles and spectacles of all kinds, has withstood
the environmental and social earthquakes that have shaken the land on which it stands,
has collected centuries of history and experienced profound transformations, always
remaining a point of reference for culture and art.
This amphitheatre is not only an incredible historical monument, but a living symbol of
Italian heritage, a fusion of past and present that excites and issues a clear invitation to
every citizen of the planet: you are welcome here.

Are you ready for the 102nd Arena di Verona Opera Festival?
For more than a century, the soul of the Arena has merged with that of opera.
Since 1913, when the first edition of Aida was performed here to celebrate the centenary
of Giuseppe Verdi‘s birth, this amphitheatre has been transformed into a unique stage, a
space of extraordinary evocative power, capable of framing the very essence of beauty. It
is here that legendary artists have left their mark, contributing to the Arena di Verona
becoming the silent and majestic cradle of artistic excellence.
For the 2025 edition, the Arena di Verona Opera Festival promises to be even more
spectacular, with the introduction of new technologies that will enhance the audience
experience. Advanced projections and state-of-the-art audio systems will allow spectators
to fully immerse themselves in the stories told through the music of the great masters of
Italian and international opera.
From June 13 to September 6, 2025, the Arenian summer will come alive with 51 evenings of great entertainment
A season not to be missed, in which the Arena di Verona will confirm itself as the most
